Utilising athleticism and speed in transition along with general fitness is key. Tauranga isn’t a particularly big team, but they move and shot the ball well. Tauranga managed to top their pool at Premiership tourney which saw them avoid eventual winners, Hamilton Boys’ High School. Tauranga had missed out on Nationals for the past three years so a top four finish in the highly competitive Super 8 and a trip to Palmerston North is a great result. |
